omiędzy ul. Mickiewicza a kościołem p.w. Św. Wojciecha znajduje się
teren należący do dawnego dworu krzyżackiego. Dawna baszta czyli
tzw. „Zameczek” to jedyny obiekt pozostały z tamtych lat. W roku 1818
ta czternastowieczna budowla, rozbudowa w wieku XVII należała do Ja-
rzynków, później (1857–1886) do Pawła Ettera, a następnie do Aleksan-
dra Tuszyńskiego. Paweł Etter urządził w niej restaurację, którą nazwał
„Burghalle”. Obecnie dawna baszta jest siedzibą biblioteki miejskiej.

is an area belonging to the former mansion of the Teutonic Knights.
The former bastion so called “Little Castle” is the only building remain-
ing from those years. In 1818, this fourteenth-century building, rebuilt in
the seventeenth century, belonged to the Jarzynkas, later (1857–1886) to
Paul Etter, and then to Alexander Tuszynski. Paul Etter arranged a restau-
rant there, which he called “Burghalle”. Currently, the tower houses the
municipal library.

as an der heutigen Straße Mickiewicz und der Hl. Adalbert Kirche
befindliche Gebiet gehörte früher dem Deutschen Ritterorden an.
Hier erbauten die Kreuzritter während ihrer Herrschaft eine Burgbastei
(heute „Zameczek“ genannt). Dieser Bau war im 17. Jahrhundert in Be-
sitz von Jarzynka und dann ging er 1857–1886 in die Hände von Paweł
Etter. Er gründete hier eine Gaststätte „Burghalle“. Zur Zeit gibt es eine
Stadtbibliothek.

obronnych miasta. Stara baszta mieści się przy dzisiejszej ul. Zamkowej.
In the photograph from the late 50s,a former gothic tower appears from the turn of the fourteenth and fifteenth century, repre-
senting a fragment of the old city walls. The old tower is located at today’s Zamkowa Street.
