kład przestrzenny miasta uległ największym przeobra-
żeniom z chwilą oddania do użytku w 1887 r. linii ko-
lejowej Brodnica – Lidzbark – Działdowo. Miasto zaczęło się
rozwijać w ich kierunku, czyli na południe (Nowy Rynek,
ul. Dworcowa, a także ul. Zieluńska) oraz wschodnim (ul.
Działdowska). Przykładem takiej rozbudowy jest m.in. bu-
dowa i oddanie w 1903 r. do użytku gazowni miejskiej przy
dzisiejszej ul. Dworcowej oraz budowa hotelu Stadtbanhof
(dziś Urząd Pocztowy).

he spatial arrangement of the city has overcome the big-
gest transformation upon entry into service, in 1887, of
the railway line Brodnica – Lidzbark – Działdowo. The town
began to develop in their directio, which is to the south
(New Market, Dworcowa Street, and Zielunska Street) and
eastern (Dzialdowska Street). An example of such expan-
sion is the construction and commissioning in 1903 for use,
the gasworks at today’s Dworcowa Street and the construc-
tion of a hotel Stadtbanhof (now the Post Office).

amt der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung änderte sich die Bebauungsstruktur der Stadt.
1887 wurde die Eisenbahnlinie Brodnica (Strasburg) – Lidzbark (Lautenburg) –
Działdowo (Soldau) gebaut. Nahe am Bahnhof wurde 1903 das Stadtgaswerk in Betrieb
gesetzt. An der Bahnhofstraße (heutige Dworcowa – Straße) errichtete man das Hotel
„Stadtbahnhof” (heute das Postamt).
