rawdopodobnie kościół parafialny w tej wsi istniał
już około XIV w. Na przestrzeni pięciu wieków cał-
kowitemu zniszczeniu wskutek pożarów uległy dwa ko-
ścioły, trzeci natomiast podupadł podczas wojen napo-
leońskich i został rozebrany. Nowy, murowany kościół
powstał dzięki inicjatywie i ofiarności samych miesz-
kańcówWąpierska. Budowany był w latach 1933-1935.
W lipcu 1935 r. proboszczem parafii został ks. Alfons
Tissler (późniejszy proboszcz parafii p.w. św. Wojciecha
w Lidzbarku), który dokończył budowlę. Przy kościele
znajduje się budynek szkoły z 1896 r. wzniesiony przez
władze pruskie.

robably the parish church in the village already ex-
isted in the fourteenth century. Over five centuries
two churches were completely destroyed as a result of
the fires, while the third one had declined during the
Napoleonic wars and later was demolished. A new
brick church was built thanks to the initiative and the
generosity of the residents of Wąpiersk. It was built in
1933–1935. In July 1935, the parish priest was Alfons
Tissler (later the parish priest of St. Wojciech Church
in Lidzbark), who finished the construction. At the
church there is a school building from 1896, built by
the Prussian authorities.

ie Pfarrkirche errichtete man etwa um das 14.
Jahrhundert. Sie erlitt im Laufe von fünf Jahr-
hunderten große Schäden. Die Kirche wurde 1933-
1935 aus Ziegelsteinen neu aufgebaut. Im Juli 1935
kam der Pfarrer Alfons Tissler (der künftige Pfarrer in
Lidzbark) und endete den Bau. An der Kirche befindet
sich das 1896 von den Preußen gebaute Schulgebäude.
