a rogu pomiędzy ul. Stare Miasto i dzisiejszą ul. Kopernika
w 1830 r. otwarto pierwszą w Lidzbarku aptekę. Apteki wów-
czas miały charakter sklepów, w których poza ziołami i lekami sprze-
dawano również kosmetyki, pamiątki i napoje alkoholowe. W roku
1900 w wyniku pożaru apteka spaliła się. Szybko ją jednak odbudo-
wano. Działała jeszcze w okresie międzywojennym, kiedy to jej wła-
ścicielem był Jan Wiklendt. Dziś w tym miejscu stoi mniejszy i nieco
cofnięty w głąb posesji budynek.

n the corner, between Old Town street and today’s Copernicus
street, in 1830 opened the first pharmacy in Lidzbark. Pharma-
cies were like shops then, where apart from herbs and drugs also cos-
metics, souvenirs and alcoholic beverages were sold. In 1900, due to
a fire, the pharmacy burned down. However, it was quickly rebuilt.
It functioned even in the interwar period, when its owner was John
Wiklendt. Today in this place there is a smaller building and slightly
receding into property.

n der Ecke der Kreuzung von Straßen Stare Miasto und (heute)
Kopernik wurde1830 die erste Apotheke eröffnet. In jener Zeit
verkauften die Apotheker Heilkräuter und – mittel, dann Kosmetik-
und Alkoholwaren. 1900 wurde die Apotheke verbrannt und ganz
schnell wieder aufgebaut. In der Zwischenkriegszeit (1919-1939)
führte die Apotheke Jan Wiklendt als der Inhaber. Das heutige Ge-
bäude der Apotheke hat nur im Grundriß die ursprüngliche Gestalt.
