üdlich von der Straße Stare Miasto kommt die Straße Słomiany Rynek (Strohmarkt). Andieser Straße befand sich einmal das bekannte Tytus – Chałubiński – Stadtkrankenhaus.
Es wurde 1945 von den Ärzten Tamara und Maksymilian Ziętara (Eheleute) gegründet. Während der Hitlerokkupation leisteten sie ärztliche Hilfe nicht nur den Einwohnern,
sondern auch den Partisanen der Widerstandsbewegung in der Umgebung Lidzbarks. Der Arzt Maksymilian Ziętara war während des Krieges ein KZ-Häftling in Neuengamm und
Buchenwald. Nach dem Kriege gab es im Krankenhaus eine chirurgische, innere und geburtshilfliche Abteilung. Danngründete man eine Infektionsabteilung, ein Laboratorium
und eine Apotheke. 1991 wurde das Krankenhaus aufgelöst.

atural extension, to the south, of Old Town Street is Straw Market. It was known in Lidzbark because of location of the Municipal Hospital of Titus Chałubiński, organized in
1945 by spouses – doctors Tamara and Maximilian Ziętata. During the Nazi occupation, they helped residents, as well as guerrillas of resistance movement operating in the
area of Lidzbark. During the war, the physician Maximilian Ziętara was a prisoner in the concentration camps of Buchenwald and Neuengamme. After the war, the couple started
a medical clinic and a hospital in the building owned by Mr B. Czubaty. Surgery, internal and maternity departments were created. The fourth infectious department and laboratory,
pharmacy and utility rooms were placed in the barracks, which had been carried from the municipal forest near Lubawa, where there was a rehabilitation centre for German soldiers.
The hospital was closed in 1991.
