o przeciwnej stronie Leśniczówki powstał pięknie położony stadion.
W 1920 r. kiedy Lidzbark wrócił do Polski, obszary Lasu Miejskiego były
w dalszym ciągu w posiadaniu Magistratu. Tak było aż do wybuchu II woj-
ny światowej. W dwudziestoleciu międzywojennym obok stadionu sporto-
wego pobudowano dom piętrowy dla organizacji sportowo-rekreacyjnych.
Władze miasta w celach rekreacyjno-turystycznych wydzierżawiały róż-
nym instytucjom tereny Lasu Miejskiego. W 1930 r. władze lokalne podpi-
sały umowę z Departamentem Obrony Kraju, na udostępnienie w okresach
wakacyjnych boiska sportowego dla młodzieży akademickiej, odbywającej
ćwiczenia z przysposobienia obronnego. Dla tych celów władze wojskowe
zleciły pobudowanie budynków drewnianych. W 1936 r. z inicjatywy huf-
ców wojskowych, przy wjeździe na stadion sportowy postawiono pomnik
Marszałkowi Józefowi Piłsudskiemu. W okresie okupacji hitlerowskiej na
boisku sportowym organizowano obozy sportowe dla młodzieży niemiec-
kiej. Po II wojnie światowej ośrodek przejęło Ministerstwo Obrony Narodo-
wej. Stacjonowała tu jednostka wojskowa, później teren został przekształ-
cony na ośrodek szkoleniowy kadetów, a następnie powstał tu wojskowy
ośrodek kolonijny. W 2002 r. po długich staraniach ośrodek stał się ponow-
nie własnością gminy.

n the opposite side of the Forester’s Lodge, there was a beautifully situ-
ated stadium built. In 1920, when Lidzbark returned to Poland, the
Municipal Forest areas were still in the possession of the Municipality. That
was until the outbreak of World War II. In the interwar period,next to the
sports stadium, a storey house was built for sports and recreational organi-
zations. The town authorities for the of recreation and touristic purposes,
leased to various institutions the areas of Municipal Forest. In 1930, local
authorities have signed an agreement with the Department of National De-
fence, to make available, during holiday periods, the sports field for univer-
sity students, who did the defence training. For these purposes, the military
authorities commissioned building of the wooden houses. In 1936, at the
initiative of the military troops,at the entrance to the sports stadium, there
was a monument of Marshal Jozef Pilsudski erected. During the Nazi occu-
pation there were sports camps for German youth organised on the sports
field. After World War II the centre was overtaken by Ministry of Defence.A
military unit stationed here, later the area was converted to a cadet training
centre and next to a military summer camp. In 2002, after long efforts the
centre became again the property of the municipality.

egenüber dem Gasthaus baute man ein schön im Stadtwald gelegenes
Stadion. 1920 ging Lidzbark an Polen über. Der Stadtwald war bis zum
Ausbruch des Zweiten Weltkrieges weiterhin im Besitz des Magistrats. In
der Zwischenkriegszeit wurde am Stadion ein Gebäude für Sportvereine ge-
baut. Die Behörde des Magistrats übergab 1930 die im Stadtwald befindli-
chen Sportanlagen an die Mitglieder des Ferienlagers – sommerliche Militär-
camps. Da wurden Baracken aufgestellt. 1936 errichtete man das Marschal
Józef -Piłsudski-Denkmal. In der Hitlerokkupation fanden hier Sportveran-
staltungen für deutsche Jugend statt. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurden
die Anlagen vom Verteidigungsminister übernommen. 2002 kehrten die
Anlagen zur Stadtgemeinde zurück.
